Created from recycled plastic and waste textile, “New
Moon” is inspired by the monthly lunar phase where
the moon is positioned between the earth and the sun,
making it invisible to the naked eye. The symbol of the
new moon symbolizes growth, intention and hope,
setting the stage for what we may wish to see on the
horizon. From climate change warming our planet to the
political climate fueling rage and fear around the globe,
“New Moon” encourages us to take a moment to set
new intentions for a more peaceful, connected future
focused on love over hate, acceptance over prejudice
and unity over division. We are one people, one species.
And we are the only ones who will save us.
