Materials: Recycled polypropylene, acrylic, nails,

“Piring Piring” (“Many Plates”) was created by ovenmelting and hand-pressing recycled plastic into 81
individual shapes resembling tiny plates, then painting
each piece and assembling on a hand-crafted frame.
The concept is based on the expression of having
“many plates in the air” when it comes to tackling
global waste – that we must focus on the entire
system, shifting between the big picture and the details
if we’re ever to make a change.
