Day after day, more and more coral reefs are bleached due to warming oceans and climate change.
Even worse, plastic waste in the sea can make it harder for corals to rebound even if temperatures cool.
As a result, over 50 percent of the world’s coral reefs have died in the last 30 years and up to 90 percent
may die within the next century.
“Taman Karang” illustrates this reality by recycling over 100 kilograms of plastic, showing the reality of
coral’s future fate – unless we start to make changes now.
