“Cabang” (“Branch” in English) creates an abstract view
of a forest. Created with recycled plastic and waste textile
– 昀椀rst, hand-twisted into “tali” / “rope” and then woven on
PK’s large-scale looms – the piece recalls the phrase of not
being able to see the forest for the trees. Or, as we focus
on our individual “responsibility” to recycle – where is the
accountability for corporations who knowingly create singleuse packaging material that is damaging our planet more
and more by the second?
